ASIC Verification - Senior Staff Engineer
Role Summary
Lead verification strategy and execution for complex ASIC/SoC digital blocks within the Bengaluru engineering team. Coordinate verification activities across design, firmware, and validation to achieve timely sign-off.
Experience Level
Senior - typically 7+ years of experience in ASIC/SoC functional verification or equivalent industry experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Define verification plans, test strategies, and success criteria for IP and SoC blocks.
- Architect and implement SystemVerilog/UVM testbenches, verification IP, and functional coverage models.
- Drive constrained-random and directed verification, regression management, and coverage closure.
- Lead debug and root-cause analysis during simulation, emulation, and silicon bring-up.
- Mentor verification engineers, conduct design/verification reviews, and improve team processes.
- Automate verification flows and integrate tests with CI/regression infrastructure.
Requirements
Must-have and preferred skills:
- Must have: Extensive experience with SystemVerilog and UVM-based verification methodologies.
- Must have: Proven experience leading verification for ASIC/SoC projects and delivering coverage closure.
- Must have: Familiarity with simulation, emulation, and regression automation tools.
- Nice to have: Scripting skills (Python, Tcl, Perl) and experience with CI systems.
- Nice to have: Experience with FPGA prototyping, lab bring-up, and hardware/software integration.
- Nice to have: Experience mentoring engineers and driving verification process improvements.
