ASIC Verification Senior Staff Engineer
Role Summary
Lead and execute digital verification for Interface IP (e.g. DDR controller cores), building verification environments, testbenches, and verification IP to ensure functional correctness and coverage closure. Work closely with design and architecture teams to identify and resolve issues.
Provide technical leadership and mentor junior engineers to improve verification quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include developing verification infrastructure, driving coverage, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Design and implement verification environments for Interface IP protocols.
- Create and execute detailed test plans and directed/stimulus tests for complex ASIC designs.
- Develop and maintain verification IP and testbenches using SystemVerilog and UVM.
- Run simulations and debug issues using tools such as VCS, ModelSim, or equivalents.
- Perform functional coverage analysis and drive coverage closure activities.
- Collaborate with design and architecture teams to triage and fix functional bugs.
- Mentor and guide junior verification engineers on best practices and methodologies.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and professional attributes.
- Extensive experience in ASIC digital verification for Interface IP (examples: DDR, PCIe, CXL, Ethernet).
- Proficiency in SystemVerilog and UVM-based verification methodologies.
- Strong understanding of digital design and verification concepts.
- Experience with simulation tools such as VCS, ModelSim, or similar.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail.
Nice-to-have:
- Proven experience mentoring or leading verification teams.
- Prior work on DDR controller digital cores or similar IP products.
