ASIC Verification Engineer, Networking
Role Summary
Join Meta's Infrastructure organization to lead verification of IP and SoC solutions for data center networking. The role focuses on defining and executing verification plans, building verification infrastructure, and ensuring silicon quality through collaboration with design, emulation, and validation teams.
Experience Level
Senior - typically 8+ years of relevant IP/sub-system or SoC verification experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities are to plan and execute verification for networking IP and SoCs, drive issues to closure, and improve verification methodologies.
- Define and implement IP/SoC verification plans and metrics (functional and code coverage).
- Develop verification testbenches and functional tests based on the verification plan.
- Debug functional failures and work with design teams to resolve silicon issues.
- Execute full verification cycles and close verification sign-off criteria.
- Collaborate with design, emulation, and silicon validation teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Implement continuous improvements in verification methodologies, automation, and tooling.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience for immediate impact; nice-to-have items listed separately.
- Must-have: 8+ years of IP/sub-system and/or SoC verification experience using SystemVerilog UVM/OVM and/or C/C++ verification flows.
- Must-have: Hands-on functional verification experience with Ethernet, 400G MAC, NIC, RDMA, or closely related networking technologies.
- Must-have: Proven ability to architect and implement verification infrastructure, drive verification to closure, and meet defined coverage metrics.
- Must-have: Scripting proficiency (Python, Perl, or TCL) to build verification tools and automate workflows.
- Must-have: Experience debugging complex functional issues in IP or SoC designs and collaborating across teams to resolve them.
- Nice-to-have: Experience with ARM or RISC-V based sub-systems or SoCs.
- Nice-to-have: Experience verifying other high-speed interfaces (PCIe, DDR, HBM) and developing automated data exploration or performance verification flows.
