Job Title

ASIC Verification Engineer - GPU

Role Summary

Verify GPU and SoC ASIC designs by building verification infrastructure, developing tests, and validating micro-architecture, architecture and golden models. Work on a GPU ASIC team collaborating with architects, designers, and pre/post-silicon verification teams.

This role focuses on delivering correct, high-performance processor elements used in graphics and compute products.

Experience Level

Entry-level (guidance: 2+ years of relevant ASIC verification experience)

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Plan and execute verification for assigned ASIC units using advanced methodologies (e.g., UVM).
  • Develop verification infrastructure, testbenches, and stimulus for unit and system-level verification.
  • Verify design correctness against architecture and golden models; implement functional coverage and assertions.
  • Debug failures using simulation and debug tools; collaborate with designers and architects to close issues.
  • Integrate verification with pre- and post-silicon teams to ensure product readiness.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience:

  • 2+ years of relevant ASIC verification experience.
  • Experience with random stimulus, functional coverage, and assertion-based verification methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience with simulation and verification tools (VCS or equivalent) and debug tools (e.g., Verdi, GDB).
  • Experience building testbench environments for unit and system verification.
  • Strong knowledge of SystemVerilog or a similar hardware verification language.
  • Proficiency in C/C++ for test/golden-model development.

Nice-to-have:

  • Processor verification experience (instruction pipelines, caches).
  • Advanced debugging and analytical skills; strong communication and teamwork.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
