Job Title

ASIC Verification Engineer - Clocks

Role Summary

Validate clocking and reset logic for NVIDIA Tegra automotive and datacenter SoCs. The role focuses on developing and executing verification plans, automation and coverage strategies, and coordinating with architecture and design teams to deliver reliable clock/reset implementations across platforms.

Experience Level

Entry-level / Early career β€” 2+ years of relevant industry experience.

Responsibilities

Primary verification and validation responsibilities for clocking and reset structures.

  • Develop and own test plans, automation, and validation flows for clock/reset blocks from design to productization.
  • Implement and run constraint-random and directed tests; measure and improve coverage metrics.
  • Create reusable verification infrastructure that scales across platforms.
  • Write and maintain testbench code and drivers in SystemVerilog/UVM and supporting languages.
  • Integrate verification with pre-silicon platforms and support system-level validation.
  • Work with architects and RTL designers to identify and debug issues; drive fixes to closure.
  • Coordinate across internal and external teams in multiple time zones.

Requirements

Key technical skills and experience required. Items labeled "Nice-to-have" are optional.

  • Strong understanding of digital logic design and architecture.
  • Expertise with verification methodologies: SystemVerilog, UVM, constraint-random verification, formal verification, and coverage-driven verification.
  • Experience with block-level and system-level verification and pre-silicon test plan implementation.
  • Proficient coding skills in SystemVerilog; solid scripting skills in Python/Perl and experience in C++.
  • Familiarity with coverage metrics, profiling tools and propagation/X-prop techniques.
  • Ability to design scalable verification solutions and reuse infrastructure across platforms.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills to work with multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Nice-to-have: knowledge of DFT/IST and experience with vendor or custom verification tools.

Education Requirements

BS or MS in Electrical Engineering / ECE (or equivalent engineering degree) or equivalent practical industry experience.
