Job Title

ASIC Verification Engineer - Clocks

Role Summary

Join the System ASIC Verification team responsible for system-level IP verification across unit, subsystem, and SoC levels, with a focus on clocking, fuses, and in-system measurement blocks.

The engineer will develop verification strategies, implement tests and scalable testbenches, and work with architects, RTL designers, and software engineers to achieve verification closure.

Experience Level

Mid-level. Targeted experience: M.Tech (or equivalent) with 1+ years of relevant industry experience, or B.Tech with 2+ years.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include planning and executing verification activities and building reusable test infrastructure.

  • Develop comprehensive test plans and implement tests to validate microarchitecture and design functionality.
  • Design, implement, and maintain reusable, scalable SystemVerilog/UVM testbenches and components for unit and system verification.
  • Verify critical system ASIC features such as fuses and in-system measurement blocks at unit, subsystem, and SoC levels.
  • Automate verification flows and tests using Python or equivalent scripting languages.
  • Collaborate with architects, RTL designers, and software engineers to resolve issues and drive feature completeness and performance visibility.
  • Debug failures, analyze root causes, and report verification status toward closure.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience; nice-to-have items listed separately.

  • Proven experience in unit, subsystem, or SoC level verification.
  • Hands-on experience building and maintaining testbench environments for both unit and system-level verification.
  • Proficiency in Python or equivalent scripting for automation and test development.
  • Strong debugging and analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard verification tools (for example, VCS, Xcelium).
  • Solid understanding of RTL design principles and Verilog.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work across cross-functional teams.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with UVM (Universal Verification Methodology).

Education Requirements

M.Tech (or equivalent) in VLSI or Electronics Engineering with 1+ years of relevant industry experience, or B.Tech with 2+ years of relevant industry experience. Equivalent practical experience in verification engineering is acceptable where specified.
