Senior ASIC Verification Engineer - Clocks

Role Summary

The Clocks team seeks a senior verification engineer to develop and execute verification strategies for clocking and reset logic in SoC products across datacenter and automotive platforms. The role focuses on building scalable verification flows, automating tests, driving coverage, and validating designs pre-silicon in collaboration with architects and designers.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include planning, implementing, and executing verification for clocking/reset modules across platforms.

  • Own validation of clocking structures end-to-end: test plan creation, automation, validation flows, coverage tracking, test execution, and productization.
  • Design and implement scalable verification solutions that work across multiple platforms.
  • Develop testbenches and verification IP using SystemVerilog, UVM, and related frameworks.
  • Write and maintain verification tools and scripts in C++, Python, and Perl.
  • Work closely with clocks architecture and RTL design teams to identify and resolve issues.
  • Coordinate verification activities with internal and external teams across time zones.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience.

  • 3+ years of industry experience in ASIC design verification.
  • Strong understanding of digital logic design and architecture.
  • Expertise in constrained-random verification, UVM, formal verification, coverage-driven verification, and profiling tools.
  • Experience with block-level and system-level verification methodologies.
  • Proficient coding skills in SystemVerilog and C++; experience with scripting in Python or Perl.
  • Experience developing and executing test plans for pre-silicon platforms.
  • Ability to collaborate across multiple engineering groups and time zones.
  • Nice-to-have: familiarity with DFT/IST.

Education Requirements

BS or MS in Electrical Engineering / ECE or equivalent practical industry experience.
