Job Title
ASIC Verification Engineer
Role Summary
The ASIC Verification Engineer will design and execute verification plans and infrastructure for GPU clocking RTL within NVIDIA's GPU clocks team. The role collaborates with frontend and backend designers, architects, and post-silicon teams to validate functionality, timing modes, testability, and physical constraints.
Experience Level
Entry-level. Requires 2+ years of ASIC verification experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include verification planning, environment development, and cross-team collaboration:
- Develop test plans, tests, and verification infrastructure for high-speed clocking logic covering functionality, DFT, circuit, power, and physical constraints.
- Verify functional, test, and timing modes for clocks RTL prior to RTL delivery.
- Implement reusable verification components and programming sequences across verification hierarchies.
- Build verification environments using SystemVerilog/UVM; create bus functional models, monitors, checkers, and scoreboards.
- Drive coverage-driven verification closure and perform simulation/debug cycles.
- Collaborate with architects, RTL designers, backend, and post-silicon teams; contribute to methodology development.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience:
- 2+ years of ASIC verification experience at unit, sub-system, or SoC level.
- Proficiency in Verilog/SystemVerilog and verification methodologies and flows.
- Strong programming skills in Python and Perl; experience with C/C++.
- Experience with industry-standard simulation and debug tools.
- Strong debugging ability and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with ASIC design concepts and timing constraints.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with UVM, clocking/resets verification, and DFT.
- Fluent English and proven teamwork skills.
Education Requirements
BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field. The posting specifies 2+ years of ASIC verification experience.
