Job Title

ASIC Verification Engineer

Role Summary

Join NVIDIA's Clocks team to validate clocking and reset logic for SoC and GPU ASIC products. The role focuses on developing verification plans, automation, and validation flows to ensure robust clocking designs across platforms.

The position collaborates closely with clock architecture and design teams and coordinates verification across product lines including data center, consumer graphics, and automotive.

Experience Level

Mid-level; 3+ years of ASIC design verification experience expected.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include planning, implementing, and executing verification for clocking structures and ensuring quality through automation and coverage metrics.

  • Develop test plans, automation, and validation flows for clocking and reset logic.
  • Create and maintain coverage metrics, profiling tools, and verification flows.
  • Implement verification code using SystemVerilog/UVM and supporting languages.
  • Execute tests, identify bugs, validate fixes, and productize verification deliverables.
  • Partner with architecture and design teams and coordinate with internal and external groups across time zones.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience for the role.

  • 3+ years of proven ASIC design verification experience.
  • Strong understanding of digital logic design and architecture.
  • Expertise in verification methodologies: SystemVerilog constraint-random, UVM, formal verification, and coverage-driven verification.
  • Experience in block-level and system-level verification.
  • Proficient coding skills: SystemVerilog, C++, and scripting (Perl, Python).
  • Experience implementing test plans for pre-silicon platforms and using verification/profiling tools.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple engineering groups and time zones.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience automating verification tasks and developing reusable methodologies.
  • Hands-on object-oriented programming experience.
  • Prior IP/block-level design or verification experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive projects to completion.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering (EE), Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE), or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
