Job Title
ASIC Verification Engineer
Role Summary
Verify complex ASIC designs across development, prototype and production phases. Work on a VLSI verification team to develop verification plans, create and run testbenches and simulations, debug RTL, and collaborate with designers, EDA/FPGA teams and outsourced partners. This role is hybrid with an expectation of approximately 2 days per week onsite.
Experience Level
Mid-level β typically requires 3+ years of VLSI verification experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Develop and execute verification plans and testbenches for ASIC components using SystemVerilog/UVM.
- Run simulations, analyze results, and debug RTL, testbenches, and hardware-related issues.
- Collaborate with digital designers, architecture teams, EDA/FPGA engineers and external partners across the product lifecycle.
- Represent the verification team during design reviews and report progress, risks and issue resolution to stakeholders.
- Support prototype bring-up, lab validation and production verification activities.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to less-experienced engineers.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience:
- 3+ years of VLSI verification experience using SystemVerilog and UVM.
- Strong understanding of digital logic, VLSI principles and computer architecture.
- Proven ability to verify and debug integrated circuits, architectures and algorithms.
- Proficiency with hardware description languages, scripting/programming and EDA or FPGA tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and effective written and verbal communication in English.
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal and outsourced development partners in a hybrid setting.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience leading projects or guiding verification strategy for complex VLSI designs.
- Familiarity with end-to-end prototype and production VLSI workflows.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field β or equivalent practical experience.
