Job Title

ASIC Verification Engineer

Role Summary

Design and verify VLSI/ASIC components and contribute to hardware platform architecture for HPE products. Lead technical project teams and coordinate with internal and outsourced development partners to deliver reliable prototype and production designs.

Experience Level

Mid-level. The posting requests 6–10 years of experience in VLSI design, verification, or implementation.

Responsibilities

Accountable for technical leadership across VLSI design and verification activities.

  • Lead project teams of electronic and VLSI engineers and external partners through all stages of VLSI design, validation, and testing.
  • Define and review architecture and logic design; develop and run verification and simulation environments.
  • Evaluate designs for compliance with VLSI technology guidelines and provide actionable feedback to improve quality.
  • Drive integration of new VLSI technologies and tools into products and projects.
  • Provide technical mentorship and guidance to less-experienced engineers.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills, tools, and experience; concise list of primary qualifications.

  • 6–10 years experience in VLSI design, verification, or implementation.
  • Proficiency in Verilog / SystemVerilog and UVM methodologies.
  • Experience with scripting languages (Python, Perl, Tcl) and software programming (C/C++).
  • Strong knowledge of digital logic, VLSI fundamentals, computer architecture, and EDA/FPGA tool flows.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to make independent technical judgments.
  • Experience leading cross-functional technical efforts and mentoring engineers.
  • Nice-to-have: Specman familiarity; patents or publications in VLSI/hardware design.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Coursework or background in VLSI design/VLSI concepts is expected.
