ASIC Verification Engineer
Role Summary
The ASIC Verification Engineer is responsible for planning, developing and executing functional verification for ASIC/SoC designs. This remote role works with design, validation and tools teams to deliver verification environments, tests, and coverage metrics for production chips and IP.
Experience Level
Senior-level; 10+ years of verification engineering experience required.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include developing verification plans, writing and running tests, and meeting coverage targets.
- Create and maintain project verification plans.
- Develop directed and constrained-random tests and testbenches.
- Implement verification environments using SystemVerilog and UVM.
- Drive functional and code coverage to defined metrics.
- Integrate and validate Verification IP (VIP) and 3rd-party IP.
- Debug RTL failures, determine root cause, and work with design teams on fixes.
- Use and configure verification tools and simulators; document results.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate status and risks.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills, tools experience, and eligibility requirements are listed below; additional desirable skills follow.

Must-have: 10+ years experience as a verification engineer.
- Experience with VHDL and Verilog/SystemVerilog RTL coding.
- Proven experience with SystemVerilog/UVM verification methodologies.
- Familiarity with internal and third-party verification tools and simulators.
- Ability to integrate and validate Verification IP (VIP).
- Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
- ITAR eligibility required — U.S. citizen or U.S. permanent resident.

Nice-to-have: SoC design exposure (e.g., ARM), PCIe and Ethernet VIP experience.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering (BS/MS in EE or CE) as stated by the employer.
