Job Title

ASIC Verification Engineer

Role Summary

Design and verify complex VLSI/ASIC components for HPE platforms. Lead technical project teams through design, verification, and testing phases and collaborate with internal and outsourced partners to deliver reliable silicon solutions.

Experience Level

Mid-level (6–10 years of relevant VLSI design, verification, or implementation experience)

Responsibilities

Lead and contribute technical expertise across VLSI design and verification activities.

  • Lead project teams of electronic and VLSI engineers and external development partners through all stages of VLSI design and development.
  • Define and review architecture and logic design; perform design verification and simulation.
  • Establish and enforce design guidelines and standards; provide actionable feedback to improve product quality.
  • Develop verification environments and methodologies; validate prototypes and production designs.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to less experienced engineers; contribute to selection and development of technical leaders.
  • Drive integration of new technologies and VLSI innovation into projects and platforms.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience; nice-to-have items listed separately.

  • 6–10 years of experience in VLSI design, verification, or implementation.
  • Proficiency with Verilog/SystemVerilog and UVM-based verification methodologies.
  • Experience with scripting languages (Python, PERL, TCL) and software programming (C/C++).
  • Strong knowledge of digital logic, computer architecture, and VLSI design principles.
  • Familiarity with EDA and FPGA tools and workflows.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; effective written and verbal communication.
  • Nice-to-have: Specman experience; publications or patents in VLSI/electronic design.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field, or equivalent practical experience. Coursework or background in VLSI design/concepts is expected.
