Job Title

ASIC Verification Engineer

Role Summary

Join HPE Networking Silicon as an ASIC Verification Engineer working on high-speed networking ASICs and subsystems. The role focuses on developing and executing verification plans and environments to validate complex SoC designs.

Experience Level

Mid-level β€” typically requires 5+ years of ASIC/SoC verification experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include block- and subsystem-level verification, environment development, simulation, and cross-team issue resolution.

  • Own block/subsystem verification from test-plan creation to coverage closure.
  • Design and maintain UVM/SystemVerilog verification environments (agents, sequences, scoreboards, register models).
  • Perform constraint-driven random testing, functional coverage, and assertion verification (SVA).
  • Run and analyze simulations using tools such as Cadence Xcelium, Synopsys VCS, or Mentor Questa; debug waveforms.
  • Collaborate with RTL designers, architects, and system teams to identify and resolve issues.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience:

  • 5+ years of ASIC/SoC verification experience owning verification from test plan to coverage closure.
  • Strong SystemVerilog and UVM knowledge; experience building environments from scratch.
  • Deep understanding of randomization, constraints, functional coverage, and SVA assertions.
  • Experience with industry simulators (Cadence Xcelium, Synopsys VCS, Mentor Questa) and waveform debugging.
  • Hands-on experience in test planning, coverage analysis, and debugging complex SoC designs.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience verifying networking ASIC datapath or control blocks (packet processing, forwarding, fabric interfaces).
  • Familiarity with high-speed interconnects, buffers, scheduling pipelines, emulation, or hardware acceleration.
  • Knowledge of coverage analytics, CI/regression dashboards (e.g., Jenkins), post-silicon bring-up, UPF low-power or formal methods.

Education Requirements

Not specified.
