ASIC Verification Engineer

Role Summary

Plan and implement IP/cluster/SoC functional verification for GPU and Tegra designs. Create regression plans, drive functional and code coverage closure, perform pre-silicon validation (XPROP, GLS), and support post-silicon verification and debug.

Experience Level

Entry-level. Role expects roughly 1+ years of design or verification experience.

Responsibilities

Core verification and cross-team collaboration responsibilities:

• Own ASIC verification of IP/cluster RTL for complex designs.
• Work with hardware architects and designers to influence implementation choices.
• Coordinate with performance verification teams; augment verification via dynamic simulation and formal techniques.
• Create and execute regression plans; drive functional and code coverage closure.
• Partner with FPGA and software teams to ensure S/W testing and integration.
• Participate in post-silicon verification and debug activities.

Requirements

Must-have and preferred qualifications. Education specifics are listed separately below.

• Must-have: 1+ years of design or verification experience.
• Must-have: ASIC verification experience on complex design units (at least one or two projects).
• Must-have: Experience with verification and debug tools (VCS or equivalent; debug tools such as Debussy, GDB).
• Preferred: Exposure to SystemVerilog and UVM-based methodology.
• Preferred / Nice-to-have: Knowledge of memory controllers or verification of IP/clusters involving memory access.
• Preferred / Nice-to-have: Scripting experience (Python, Perl, shell).
• Preferred / Nice-to-have: Strong debugging, problem-solving, and interpersonal/teamwork skills.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree (BS/MS) in a relevant field, or equivalent practical experience. The posting explicitly allows equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.
