Job Title

ASIC Verification Engineer

Role Summary

This role verifies and validates digital VLSI/ASIC designs used in HPE server and computer architecture products. The engineer will design, simulate, and test VLSI circuits and work with internal teams and outsourced partners to move designs from prototype to production.

Primary focus is ensuring designs meet functional, quality, schedule, and cost targets while providing technical input across the project lifecycle. This is an onsite position in Bengaluru.

Experience Level

Mid-level β€” typically 2–5 years of relevant VLSI/ASIC experience. Works independently with moderate supervision.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Design portions of computer/server architecture and related algorithms according to specifications.
  • Develop, simulate, and test VLSI/ASIC circuits to validate functionality and performance.
  • Communicate design status, risks, and progress to engineering management.
  • Collaborate with project teams, internal stakeholders, and external development partners.
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to less experienced engineers.

Requirements

Experience and skills required (must-have and nice-to-have):

Must-have:

  • 2–5 years of experience in VLSI design, verification, or implementation.
  • Practical understanding of digital logic, VLSI principles, and computer architecture.
  • Hands-on experience designing VLSI components and developing verification/simulation environments.
  • Experience with hardware description languages and scripting/programming for verification (e.g., Verilog/SystemVerilog, Python, Tcl).
  • Familiarity with EDA tools and/or FPGA tool flows.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English and the local language.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience mentoring junior engineers and working with outsourced development partners.
  • Coursework or hands-on exposure to VLSI design methodologies and architecture-level algorithms.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related technical field; or equivalent practical experience acceptable.
