ASIC Verification Engineer
Role Summary
Plan and implement functional verification for ASIC IP/cluster/SoC blocks used in NVIDIA Graphics and Tegra products. The role focuses on creating regression plans, achieving functional and code coverage, and coordinating pre-silicon and post-silicon validation and debug.
Experience Level
Entry-level β typically 1+ years of relevant ASIC or RTL design and verification experience.
Responsibilities
Primary verification and validation responsibilities include:
- Own ASIC verification of IP/cluster RTL and deliver verification signoff for assigned blocks.
- Develop and execute regression plans; drive functional and code coverage closure.
- Collaborate with hardware architects and designers to inform implementation choices.
- Work with performance verification and formal teams to augment verification strategies.
- Support FPGA and software teams to ensure software is exercised and tested.
- Participate in pre-silicon validation (simulations, XPROP, GLS) and post-silicon debug.
Requirements
Must-have and preferred qualifications:

Must-have: 1+ years of design or verification experience, with ASIC verification on at least one project.

Must-have: Experience with simulation and debug tools (e.g., VCS or equivalent, Debussy, GDB).

Preferred: Exposure to SystemVerilog and UVM-based methodology.

Preferred: Scripting skills (Python, Perl, shell) for testbench development and automation.

Preferred: Knowledge of memory controllers or verification experience for IP/clusters that access memory.

Preferred: Strong debugging, problem-solving skills, and ability to work effectively in a team.
Education Requirements
