Job Title

ASIC Verification Engineer

Role Summary

Plan and execute functional verification for IP, cluster, and SoC designs used in NVIDIA Graphics Processors and Tegra SoCs. Work with hardware architects, designers, performance verification, FPGA, and software teams to ensure pre-silicon and post-silicon validation and coverage closure.

Experience Level

Entry-level. Typical guidance: 1+ years of design or verification experience.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Own ASIC verification of complex IP and cluster RTL blocks.
  • Create and execute regression plans and drive functional and code coverage closure.
  • Collaborate with hardware architects and designers to influence implementation choices.
  • Coordinate with performance verification and formal teams to augment verification strategy.
  • Enable FPGA and software teams to ensure software integration is tested.
  • Perform pre-silicon validation (simulations, XPROP, GLS) and participate in post-silicon verification and debug.

Requirements

Must-have qualifications:

  • 1+ years of design experience.
  • Experience in ASIC verification of complex design units on at least one project.
  • Experience with simulation and debug tools (VCS or equivalent; debuggers such as Debussy, GDB).
  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.

Nice-to-have:

  • Exposure to SystemVerilog and UVM-based verification methodology.
  • Knowledge of memory controllers or verification of IP/clusters that access memory.
  • Scripting skills (Python, Perl, shell) and good interpersonal/team collaboration skills.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master’s degree (BS/MS) or equivalent practical experience.
