Job Title

ASIC Verification Engineer

Role Summary

Lead verification and validation of ASIC/VLSI components for HPE systems, focusing on architecture, verification methodology, and design compliance. Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to deliver production-ready silicon.

Provide platform-level technical leadership, mentor engineers, and integrate new VLSI technologies into products.

Experience Level

Mid-level; 6–10 years of experience in VLSI design, verification, or implementation preferred.

Responsibilities

The role combines technical leadership, design verification, and project coordination.

  • Lead project teams of VLSI and electronic engineers and outsourced development partners across design, verification, and testing phases.
  • Define and review verification plans, testbenches, and simulation environments for complex ASICs.
  • Review and evaluate designs for compliance with VLSI technology and development standards; provide actionable feedback to improve quality.
  • Provide architecture and platform-level leadership for cross-organization projects and programs.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to less-experienced staff.
  • Drive VLSI innovation and integration of new tools and techniques into the design flow.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience.

  • 6–10 years of experience in VLSI design, verification, or implementation.
  • Proficient in Verilog/SystemVerilog and UVM methodologies.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or TCL.
  • Experience with software programming in C or C++.
  • Familiarity with EDA and FPGA tools; Specman knowledge is a plus.
  • Deep understanding of digital logic, computer architecture, and VLSI principles.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; demonstrated ability to lead technical work.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field; or equivalent practical experience. Coursework or experience in VLSI design is expected.
