ASIC Verification Engineer

Role Summary

Design and implement verification environments and deliver verification plans for ASIC blocks, cores, and SoCs. Build reusable, scalable UVM/SystemVerilog testbenches, develop tests and functional coverage, and debug regressions to ensure product correctness.

Experience Level

Senior - 8+ years of relevant ASIC verification experience.

Responsibilities

Execute verification strategy from planning through coverage closure and regression debugging.

• Develop test plans and functional coverage for Block/Core/SoC features.
• Architect and implement scalable, reusable SystemVerilog/UVM testbenches.
• Develop BFMs, checkers, monitors, and scoreboards.
• Create pseudo-random tests to achieve full functional coverage.
• Run and debug RTL and gate-level regression failures; analyze coverage gaps and improve tests.
• Document verification strategy, test plans, and testbench architecture.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and practical verification experience; nice-to-have items indicated.

• 8+ years of hands-on ASIC verification experience.
• Proficiency in SystemVerilog and verification methodologies such as UVM/VMM/OVM.
• Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming principles and testbench architecture.
• Experience developing BFMs, checkers, monitors, and scoreboards.
• Experience writing functional coverage and pseudo-random/randomized tests.
• Experience debugging regression failures in RTL and gate-level simulations.
• Ability to work independently across IP, subsystem, and SoC projects.
• Nice-to-have: Host interface protocols such as PCIe, SAS, SATA.
• Nice-to-have: AMBA protocols (AXI/AHB/APB).

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field (as stated in the posting).
