ASIC Physical Designer I
Role Summary
Join an IP development team to design custom high-speed analog layouts for SerDes on advanced process nodes. The role focuses on full-custom analog and mixed-signal layout, verification (DRC/LVS), RC extraction, and EM analysis.
Work with local and remote design engineers and mask design resources in a multi-site team to deliver production-ready layout solutions.

Responsibilities
Design and deliver full-custom analog and mixed-signal layout blocks and support verification and manufacturing readiness.
- Floorplan and implement cell, block, and macro-level custom analog and mixed-signal layouts.
- Perform DRC/LVS verification and RC extraction; run EM analysis to diagnose and mitigate layout issues.
- Develop and improve layout methodologies and flow efficiencies.
- Collaborate across multi-site teams and coordinate with mask design resources.
- Provide schedule updates and ensure disciplined, high-quality deliverables for engineering customers.

- Must-have: Solid understanding of high-speed custom layout, floorplanning, layout optimization, RC extraction, and verification for analog/mixed-signal designs.
- Must-have: Experience creating DRC/LVS-verified layouts and troubleshooting layout-related issues.
- Nice-to-have: Knowledge of ESD, lithography, EM, DFM, antenna effects, and manufacturing challenges.
- Nice-to-have: Experience with UNIX and scripting for layout automation and debugging.
- Strong communication skills, ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and maintain a focus on quality and disciplined execution.
Education Requirements
Bachelor of Science (BS) in Electrical Engineering.
