ASIC / NoC SoC Deployment Architect

Role Summary

Deploy and support Qualcomm's QITC NoC interconnect technology across Qualcomm SoCs (Mobile, Automotive, Servers, IoT, Connectivity). Join the Solutions Deployment team to integrate interconnect IP, define SoC interconnect configurations, resolve integration issues, and support SoC bring-up and optimization across architecture, HW/SW, verification and post-silicon teams.

Experience Level

Senior — preferred 5–10 years of relevant SoC/ASIC design, architecture, deployment or application engineering experience. Alternative minimums are provided under Education Requirements.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include technical deployment, integration support, and knowledge transfer for NoC/interconnect solutions.

• Collaborate with architecture, hardware, software, verification and emulation teams to integrate QITC NoC technology into SoCs.
• Contribute to the definition of interconnect requirements and SoC configuration choices.
• Provide technical support for new QITC solutions and resolve NoC micro-architecture and integration issues.
• Participate in design and improvement of interconnect solutions.
• Create in-depth technical documentation and organize trainings for global teams.
• Support debugging in simulation, emulation and silicon bring-up environments.

Requirements

Core technical skills and hands-on experience required. Degree expectations are summarized separately in Education Requirements.

• Proven experience across the SoC/ASIC development cycle: architecture, RTL design, verification, integration, and silicon bring-up.
• Strong understanding of SoC performance drivers, DDR memory channels, physical implementation, and silicon debug.
• Knowledge of system-level features: memory mapping, MMUs, QoS, cache infrastructure, and security schemes.
• Familiarity with interconnect/protocol concepts such as AHB, AXI, ACE, ACE-Lite, CHI and NoC fundamentals.
• Strong analytical and debugging skills in simulation, emulation, and silicon environments.
• Scripting proficiency in Python and Perl.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to adapt to changing priorities.

Nice-to-have:

• Experience with high-speed SoC protocols and chiplet architectures.
• Familiarity with coherency protocols.
• Experience with multimedia IP, GPU, and multi-core CPU integration challenges.

Education Requirements

Degree options specified: Bachelor's, Master's or PhD in Science/Engineering (examples given: Microelectronics, Computer Science, or related technical fields). The posting defines alternative minimum experience thresholds: Bachelor's +4+ years, Master's +3+ years, or PhD +2+ years of relevant ASIC/SoC design, verification, validation, integration or related experience. Equivalent practical experience is accepted.
