Job Title

ASIC/FPGA Senior Verification Engineer

Role Summary

Individual contributor responsible for ASIC and FPGA implementation and verification within the Design Services organization. Work includes digital logic design, RTL implementation, test specification and verification for next-generation and legacy products.

Location: Milwaukee, WI or Mayfield Heights, OH. Duration: 6+ months. Background verification will be required for selected candidates.

Experience Level

Senior — minimum 5 years of relevant ASIC/FPGA design and verification experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include design, verification, and test planning for digital logic in ASIC and FPGA projects.

• Develop and implement RTL in Verilog and/or VHDL; perform conversions and modeling.
• Create module test specifications from functional/module specifications.
• Implement testbenches and tests in VHDL/Verilog/SystemVerilog and run simulations.
• Perform coverage analysis and verify test completeness.
• Collaborate with architects and design engineers to resolve design issues.
• Support gate-level verification and basic timing analysis activities.
• Work in a Linux/Unix environment; communicate technical results to stakeholders.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience for this role.

• At least 5 years' experience with standard-cell ASIC and/or FPGA design and verification.
• Proficiency with Verilog and/or VHDL; familiarity with RTL and gate-level design and verification.
• Familiarity with C/C++ for verification/modeling tasks.
• Experience with simulation flows and coverage analysis.
• Comfort working under supervision from senior engineers and participating in technical discussions.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English; team-oriented.

Nice-to-have:

• Knowledge of SystemVerilog and Universal Verification Methodology (UVM).
• Familiarity with bus protocols (AXI, AHB, SPI) and Ethernet protocols.
• Experience with FPGA-based designs and test planning.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's (BE) or graduate degree (MS, ME, MTech) in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline as stated by the employer.
