ASIC/FPGA Functional Verification Applications Engineer

Role Summary

The Field Application Engineer supports pre-sales and customer adoption of Siemens EDA solutions for ASIC and FPGA design and verification. The role works with account teams to assess customer needs, demonstrate technical solutions, run evaluations, and support deployments.

Responsibilities

The role provides technical leadership during pre/post-sales engagements and supports customers through evaluations, pilots, and deployments.

  • Lead technical discovery and map customer design/verification flows to Siemens EDA solutions.
  • Deliver technical presentations, demos, and proof-of-concept evaluations.
  • Support evaluations, pilot projects, and solution positioning during sales campaigns.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Product, Support, and Services to execute customer engagements.
  • Guide solution configuration, licensing recommendations, and deployment troubleshooting.
  • Contribute to methodology development and drive product adoption with customers.
  • Mentor junior Field Application Engineers and share customer feedback with internal teams.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of ASIC and FPGA design and verification concepts.
  • Expertise in advanced verification methodologies and environments.
  • Mandatory coding and verification language skills: Verilog, VHDL, SystemVerilog, UVM, PSL/SVA.
  • Experience with Verification IP, Formal, and Emulation technologies is a plus.
  • Proficiency with core EDA tools, methodologies, and design environments.
  • Experience extending or integrating tools via scripting, APIs, or configuration preferred.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills; ability to engage technical audiences.
  • Awareness of competitive EDA environments and ability to position Siemens solutions.
  • US Citizenship is mandatory due to export-control requirements.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is requested; the posting allows an equivalent combination of education and experience.
