Job Title

ASIC/FPGA Functional Verification Applications Engineer

Role Summary

Field Application Engineer (Level 3) providing pre-sales technical support to account teams for Siemens EDA DVT and verification solutions. The role drives technical wins through customer discovery, demonstrations, evaluations, and by aligning solutions to customer design and verification flows.

Works with engineering and first-line management at customer sites, supports deployments and pilots, and mentors junior Field AEs.

Experience Level

Mid-level β€” expects around 3+ years of relevant experience in ASIC/FPGA design and verification.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include supporting technical sales activities and driving product adoption.

  • Provide technical leadership for verification solutions and support pre/post-sales strategy execution.
  • Build and maintain relationships with engineering and first-line management at customer sites.
  • Perform technical discovery to understand customer requirements and design flows.
  • Deliver technical presentations and demonstrations of Siemens EDA solutions.
  • Support evaluations, pilot projects, deployments, and solution positioning during sales campaigns.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Product, Support, and Services to ensure successful engagements.
  • Contribute to methodology development, workflow improvements, and internal knowledge sharing.
  • Mentor junior Field Application Engineers.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills, compliance, and other essential qualifications.

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in ASIC/FPGA design and verification or equivalent practical experience.
  • Strong understanding of design and verification concepts in ASIC and FPGA flows.
  • Expertise in advanced verification methodologies and environments.
  • Expert coding skills in Verilog, VHDL, SystemVerilog, and experience with UVM and PSL/SVA.
  • Proficiency with core EDA tools, methodologies, and design environments.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills for technical audiences.
  • Ability to align EDA solutions with customer workflows and articulate solution value.
  • US Citizenship is mandatory; position is subject to U.S. export control (ITAR/EAR) requirements.
  • Nice-to-have: experience with Verification IP, formal verification, emulation, scripting/APIs, and prior experience supporting sales evaluations or pilot projects.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field β€” or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
