ASIC/FPGA Engineering Associate Manager
Role Summary
Lead a team within the Silicon Solutions division to deliver SOC, ASIC, and FPGA microchip projects for customer programs. The role manages technical execution, schedules, budgets, subcontractors, and customer engagement for multiple concurrent projects.
Experience Level
Senior β requires 9+ years of professional experience in SOC, ASIC, or FPGA design and verification and prior program or project management experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Lead and manage a team of ASIC/FPGA design and verification engineers.
- Oversee multiple projects, assign technical and project responsibilities, and ensure execution across teams.
- Deliver projects within Β±10% of schedule and budget using Agile and Waterfall methods.
- Use Earned Value Management System (EVMS) for program status and communication.
- Develop and maintain customer relationships; capture and negotiate scope, requirements, and budgets.
- Author technical proposals and present summaries to customers and stakeholders.
- Manage subcontractor relationships and contracts for Silicon Solutions engagements.
- Develop and refine processes for customer and contractor engagements; mentor project management staff.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience:
- 9+ years experience in SOC, ASIC, or FPGA design and verification.
- Demonstrated program or project management experience.
- Experience recruiting and mentoring engineering teams.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office, and Atlassian JIRA.
- Ability to build cross-functional relationships with hardware and software teams and to produce technical proposals with sound business judgment.
- Willingness to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Defense Secret clearance.
Education Requirements
Bachelor of Science or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
