Job Title
ASIC Engineer, Design
Role Summary
The Infra Silicon team designs and delivers domain-specific ASICs and SoCs to accelerate compute and networking workloads in Meta data centers. This role focuses on design and micro-architecture, RTL development, IP integration, and cross-team collaboration to achieve robust, first-pass silicon.
Experience Level
Mid-level β requires 6+ years of silicon development experience, with demonstrated first-pass ASIC development success.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Architecture exploration and micro-architecture development.
- RTL coding and implementation for control, datapath, and networking IPs.
- Identification, selection, and integration of soft and hard IP blocks.
- Collaborating with verification and emulation teams on test plans and debug.
- Working with implementation teams to close designs on synthesis, timing, and power.
Requirements
Must-have:
- 6+ years of silicon/ASIC development experience with first-pass success in ASIC development.
- Experience in one of: complex micro-architecture and RTL development for control/datapath/networking IPs; SoC micro-architecture, design and integration; or implementation and power methodology development.
- Proficient in RTL coding using Verilog or SystemVerilog.
- Experience with lint, CDC (clock domain crossing), synthesis, and power optimization.
Nice-to-have:
- Data-path development experience.
- Scripting skills (TCL, Python, Perl, shell).
- Power analysis and optimization; HLS experience.
- Experience across multiple projects and in Networking, CPU, NOC, Memory, and peripheral subsystems.
- Familiarity with timing closure, synthesis flows, and formal verification methodology.
