ASIC Engineer, Design
Role Summary
Design engineer responsible for micro-architecture, RTL implementation, and SoC integration of low-power hardware accelerators used for machine learning, graphics, display, and network acceleration. Work with architects, verification, physical design, and system teams to deliver production silicon.
Collaborate with researchers and cross-functional engineering teams to map algorithms to hardware, meet power and performance targets, and support silicon bring-up and debug.
Experience Level
Mid-level (Level - Mid-Career). The role expects experienced hardware design engineers; the posting indicates ~6+ years of relevant industry experience.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Define IP and sub-system micro-architecture and translate architecture into RTL.
- RTL coding, unit-level design implementation, and support for design verification.
- Specify integration requirements for IP and subsystems and drive SoC integration activities.
- Perform performance and power analysis to help meet targets.
- Collaborate with Verification, Physical Design, and Design-for-Test teams throughout the design flow.
- Participate in silicon bring-up, debug, and cross-team design reviews.

Must-have
- 6+ years experience as a hardware design engineer on production silicon shipped in volume.
- Proven experience in digital microarchitecture, RTL coding, and SoC integration.
- Experience performing performance and power analysis to meet design targets.
- Strong communication and cross-team collaboration skills.
Nice-to-have
- Experience with CPU, NoC, memory, die-to-die and peripheral subsystems.
- Experience with synthesis, timing closure, and formal verification methodologies.
- Experience managing SoC-level boot flow, silicon debug architectures, PLLs, and clock/reset sequencing.
Education Requirements
Required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Preferred: Master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related areas. The posting explicitly allows equivalent practical experience in lieu of a degree.
