ASIC DV Engineer, Principal/Manager

Role Summary

Principal/manager-level ASIC design verification role focused on Ethernet switch ASICs within the ASICS Engineering team. Lead verification architecture from module to system level, align hardware, software and product teams on networking features and performance, and mentor senior technical staff.

Responsibilities

Lead verification strategy and delivery for next-generation Ethernet switch ASICs. Key responsibilities include:

• Drive architecture definition and technical strategy for Ethernet switch ASICs to enable scalable, high-performance networking.
• Define verification architecture from module level through subsystem and system level.
• Coordinate cross-functional verification efforts with hardware, software and product teams on features and performance validation.
• Align schedules and ensure on-time execution with architecture and design teams.
• Mentor and influence senior technical leaders and guide organization-wide engineering direction.

Requirements

Must-have skills and attributes:

• Deep expertise in ASIC development and switch verification using SystemVerilog, UVM, SVA and coverage-driven methodologies.
• Experience with emulation and FPGA-based validation.
• Deep knowledge of Ethernet switch architecture, including forwarding pipelines (L2/L3, ACLs, tunneling), traffic management (QoS, scheduling, shaping), and high-performance packet processing and scaling strategies.
• Strong debugging and system-level problem-solving skills.
• Proven leadership, cross-functional influence, and mentoring experience.
• Excellent teamwork, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Fluent in Chinese and English.
• Ability to perform under tight schedules and stressful situations.

Education Requirements

MS in Electrical Engineering is specifically listed.
