Role Summary
As a Sr. Staff ASIC Digital Design Engineer you will own RTL design and front-end implementation for LPDDR PHY IP, focusing on timing, power, and area across advanced process nodes. You will work with microarchitecture, verification, analog, and physical design teams to deliver production-quality IP used in mobile, automotive, and AI systems.
Experience Level
Senior — 8+ years of ASIC digital design experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include RTL design, optimization, automation, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Design RTL modules from microarchitecture through synthesis-ready implementation for LPDDR PHY IP.
- Optimize timing, power, and area across multiple process nodes.
- Develop Perl automation for design generation and flow integration.
- Collaborate with architecture, analog, verification, and physical design teams to resolve timing and power issues.
- Perform and contribute to design reviews and front-end methodology development.
Requirements
Must-have technical experience and skills.
- 8+ years of ASIC digital design experience with RTL ownership in production silicon.
- Expert Verilog proficiency for timing-critical designs.
- Strong Perl scripting skills for design automation.
- Deep knowledge of synthesis, static timing analysis, and power optimization techniques.
- Experience with PHY IP or high-speed interfaces is preferred.
- Effective cross-discipline communication and ability to analyze and resolve technical tradeoffs.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
