ASIC Digital Design Senior Manager
Role Summary
Lead a digital design engineering team responsible for delivering next-generation SERDES PHY IP solutions. Manage technical execution from specification through productization and customer support, working cross-functionally with architecture, verification, physical implementation, and firmware teams.
Experience Level
Senior - requires extensive technical leadership experience; role specifies 15+ years of complex technical development experience and a minimum of 2 years of people management experience.
Responsibilities
You will manage team execution, drive project delivery, and support customers integrating IP into SoCs.
- Lead and manage a team of digital design engineers developing SERDES PHY IP.
- Plan, schedule, and drive design phases from specification to productization and support.
- Collaborate with architecture, verification, physical implementation, and firmware teams.
- Ensure projects meet timing, performance, and power targets across design cycles.
- Mentor and develop team members; foster technical growth and accountability.
- Engage with customers to support IP integration and resolve technical issues.
Requirements
Must-have technical and leadership qualifications.
- 15+ years of complex technical development experience in semiconductor digital design.
- Minimum 2 years of people management experience.
- Proficiency in modeling and synthesizable Verilog and SystemVerilog.
- Strong experience with front-end design flows: linting, synthesis, static timing analysis (STA), CDC/RDC, DFT, and power optimization.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; able to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
- Nice-to-have: familiarity with PCIe and Ethernet standards.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering is specified.
