ASIC Digital Design Principal Engineer
Role Summary
Principal-level engineering role responsible for verification and validation of HPC DSP-based SERDES PHY silicon IP. You will lead verification efforts, build UVM/SystemVerilog environments, develop automation, and coordinate with product and project teams to meet delivery milestones.
The role is hands-on and includes technical leadership, mentoring, and establishing verification best practices across the team.
Experience Level
Senior — requires 10+ years of ASIC development and mixed-signal verification experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include designing and executing verification strategies, building verification infrastructure, and collaborating with stakeholders to resolve technical issues.
- Implement unified test plans for HPC DSP-based SERDES PHY products covering verification and validation phases.
- Design, build, and maintain UVM/SystemVerilog-based verification environments, including VIP integration.
- Develop and maintain automation and scripts (Shell, Perl, Python, C++); evaluate AI-based automation approaches.
- Create and execute comprehensive test cases for high-speed data recovery and signal-processing circuits with coverage and traceability.
- Work with product stakeholders and project owners to resolve technical risks and meet milestones.
- Share verification best practices and mentor engineers to improve team capability and delivery quality.
Requirements

- Must: 10+ years of ASIC development and mixed-signal verification experience.
- Must: Advanced SystemVerilog and UVM methodology experience for verification environment development.
- Must: Experience with high-speed protocols such as PCIe and Ethernet and familiarity with digital signal processing concepts.
- Must: Proficiency in scripting and automation (Shell, Perl, Python, C++).
- Must: Strong organizational, communication, and problem-resolution skills; proven delivery under tight schedules.
- Nice-to-have: Experience with AI-driven automation techniques and prior mentorship/technical leadership roles.
