ASIC Digital Design Manager

Role Summary

Lead design and delivery of Synopsys LPDDR PHY digital logic from specification through productization. Manage technical design activities, collaborate with verification, timing, DFT, and power teams, and support customer integration of PHY into SoCs.

Experience Level

Senior-level role. Requires a minimum of 8 years of experience in complex technical development.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

• Lead and contribute to micro-architecture and RTL design for LPDDR PHY IP using Verilog/SystemVerilog.
• Produce and maintain design specifications and RTL implementations.
• Run simulations, perform design analysis, and collaborate with verification teams to resolve issues.
• Work with Timing, DFT, Power and cross-domain clocking teams to achieve closure.
• Identify and fix lint, CDC/RDC, DFT, timing, and power issues.
• Maintain and improve design automation and engineering processes.
• Provide technical support for customer integration of PHY into SoCs when required.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience:

• Minimum 8 years of experience in complex ASIC/SoC technical development.
• Strong experience with synthesizable Verilog and SystemVerilog design, coding, and implementation.
• Experience with front-end flows: linting, synthesis, timing investigation and closure, cross-domain clocking, DFT, and power optimization.
• Excellent communication skills and self-motivation.
• Evidence of technical leadership or managerial experience in design projects.

Nice-to-have:

• Understanding of memory and memory PHY architectures (LPDDR PHY experience preferred).

Education Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BS in Electrical Engineering) is specified.
