Role Overview

Broadcom's ASIC Product Division is seeking a proficient ASIC DFT Engineer to join our team at the Fort Collins, Colorado Development Center. The role entails leading DFT programs through various stages, from chip-level specifications to implementation and verification, ensuring successful product releases.

Experience Level

This position requires a substantial level of expertise attributed to either an 8 years’ experience in the industry with a Bachelor’s Degree or a Master's Degree coupled with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Understand Broadcom and customer DFT feature requirements and define DFT specifications.
  • Implement DFT strategies including Scan, MBIST, TAP, LBIST, and others.
  • Verify and validate various IPs at the ASIC level.
  • Generate and debug test vectors ahead of tape release.
  • Assist in silicon failure analysis and yield improvement initiatives.
  • Interface with customers and collaborate with global engineering teams.
  • Innovate DFT solutions for advanced technologies.
  • Automate DFT and test vector generation processes.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Extensive background in DFT techniques such as ATPG and Scan.
  • Experience in Verilog coding and testbench generation.
  • Familiarity with memory BIST and boundary scan verification.
  • Knowledge of IEEE standards and digital circuit design principles.
  • Project management skills for coordinating multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Background in ATE operations and silicon debug techniques.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Computer Engineering or a related field is required, with at least 8 years of industry experience. Alternatively, a Master's Degree with 6 or more years of relevant experience is accepted.
