Work on pre-silicon and post-silicon verification of digital power IP across the full verification lifecycle. The role sits on the ASICS Engineering team and focuses on test planning, SystemVerilog-UVM testbench development, coverage and assertion models, formal verification, UPF power-aware flows, and verification automation.
Experience Level
Mid-level - typically requires at least 2+ years of ASIC design and verification experience; senior-level experience is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Plan and execute pre-silicon verification for digital power IPs through tape-out and provide post-silicon support.
- Develop block-level testbenches using SystemVerilog and UVM.
- Create and maintain functional coverage and assertion models; author properties for formal verification.
- Implement and validate power-aware verification flows (UPF) where applicable.
- Develop automation and scripts to improve verification efficiency and repeatability.
- Collaborate with design, validation, and integration teams to verify and validate IP.
Requirements
Must-have and desirable skills and experience:
- Must-have: 2+ years of ASIC design/verification experience with relevant tools, techniques, and methodology.
- Must-have: Hands-on experience developing testbenches with SystemVerilog and UVM; familiarity with RTL (SystemVerilog/Verilog/VHDL).
- Must-have: Experience with functional coverage and assertion-based verification; exposure to formal verification/property checking.
- Must-have: Scripting or automation skills (Perl or Python).
- Nice-to-have: Experience with AMBA protocols (AXI/AHB/APB), C/C++ programming, and computer architecture fundamentals.
- Nice-to-have: Experience with power-aware UPF verification flows and longer-tenure verification experience (e.g., 6+ years) for senior responsibilities.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or a related field is required (or equivalent practical experience). The posting also lists alternatives: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field (preferred) and PhD as acceptable in minimum-qualification combinations (e.g., Bachelor + 2+ years, Master + 1+ year, or PhD).
