Role Summary
Join the ASIC verification team responsible for the full verification lifecycle from system concept through tape-out and post-silicon support. The role focuses on pre-silicon test planning, testbench development, coverage and assertion creation, and automation to improve verification efficiency.
Experience Level
Mid-career to senior-level roles across multiple levels. Minimum guidance: 2+ years of ASIC design/verification experience (senior-level expectations are typically 6+ years).
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include planning and executing digital power IP verification and developing reliable verification environments.
- Develop pre-silicon test plans for digital power IP and support post-silicon validation.
- Design and implement block-level testbenches using SystemVerilog and UVM methodologies.
- Create functional coverage models and assertions; perform formal property checking where applicable.
- Implement power-aware verification flows (UPF) and verify power intent.
- Develop automation and scripts to increase verification throughput and repeatability.
- Collaborate with RTL designers, architects, and validation teams to close verification gaps.
Requirements
Qualifications are split between essential experience and preferred enhancements.
Must-have- 2+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related professional experience (per role level).
- Hands-on experience with ASIC verification tools, methodologies, and testbench development.
- Practical experience with SystemVerilog and block-level testbench construction.
- Familiarity with functional coverage and assertion-based verification techniques.
- Scripting or automation experience (Perl or Python).
- Solid understanding of digital design concepts and RTL.
- Experience with UVM/OVM verification methodologies and Assertion Based Formal Verification.
- Experience with AMBA bus protocols (AXI/AHB/APB).
- Stronger roles may require 6+ years of experience and C/C++ programming skills and deeper computer architecture knowledge.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering (or closely related field) with typically 2+ years of relevant experience; or Master's degree with 1+ year; or PhD in Science, Engineering, or related field. Preferred fields include Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, and Computer Engineering.
