ASIC Design Verification Engineer
QualcommJob Title
ASIC Design Verification Engineer
Role Summary
Work in the ASICS Engineering team to design and verify ASICs for multi-function mobile and connectivity platforms. The role focuses on implementing system architectures, interfaces, and verification environments for RF/Analog connectivity subsystems.
Tasks include developing verification test benches, supporting synthesis and gate-level simulation, and assisting with timing closure across the chip.
Experience Level
Mid-level. The posting does not specify a single years-of-experience requirement and appears open to a broad range of experience levels.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities center on verification, simulation, and integration support for ASIC modules.
- Develop and maintain unit-level and integrated verification test benches.
- Perform RTL verification and support synthesis and gate-level simulations for assigned modules.
- Assist with timing analysis and timing-closure activities across the chip.
- Collaborate with RTL, analog, and architecture teams to implement interfaces and system behavior.
- Automate verification flows and tests using scripting (Perl, Python).
- Incorporate wireless LAN, Bluetooth, and RF transceiver knowledge into verification scenarios.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience.
- RTL design and RTL verification experience.
- ASIC front-end verification experience (synthesis support and gate-level simulation).
- Experience building and running unit and integrated test benches.
- Proficiency with scripting languages such as Perl or Python for automation.
- Familiarity with wireless LAN, Bluetooth, or RF transceiver subsystems.
- Strong debugging skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Education Requirements
