Role Summary
Develop and maintain Verification IP (VIP) for industry-standard protocols using SystemVerilog and UVM. Work with R&D, Design IP teams, and field teams to deliver reusable, scalable verification solutions and support customer integrations.
Experience Level
Entry-level / Early-career β expects approximately 2+ years of hands-on verification IP or SystemVerilog/UVM experience.
Responsibilities
The role focuses on building coverage-driven VIP, debugging integrations, and improving product quality and scalability.
- Design, develop, and maintain Verification IP using SystemVerilog and UVM for protocols such as AMBA, Flash, I2C, I3C, DFI, and DRAM.
- Create verification plans that map protocol specifications to testable scenarios and coverage goals.
- Implement sequences, test scenarios, and checkers to drive functional and code coverage.
- Debug complex simulation failures across protocol layers and customer integration environments.
- Improve VIP performance, reusability, and scalability as protocols and use cases evolve.
- Support customers and field teams during VIP integration and deployment.
- Collaborate with design, IP, and product teams to align VIP capabilities with roadmaps and customer needs.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience; some items are nice-to-have and are noted.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience developing Verification IP or SystemVerilog/UVM-based testbenches.
- Deep working knowledge of at least two protocols such as AMBA (AXI, AHB, APB), Flash, I2C, I3C, DFI, or DRAM.
- Strong proficiency in SystemVerilog and UVM methodology for building reusable, scalable verification environments.
- Ability to create and execute coverage-driven verification plans, including functional and code coverage analysis.
- Proven experience debugging complex simulation failures and resolving issues across protocol layers and integration boundaries.
- Experience working directly with customers or field teams during product deployment β nice-to-have.
