Job Title

ASIC Design Verification Engineer

Role Summary

Lead verification efforts for next-generation networking and AI-accelerator SoCs. Work remotely with cross-functional ASIC design, hardware, and post-silicon teams to deliver first-pass silicon success.

Focus areas include building and maintaining UVM/SystemVerilog verification environments, driving regressions and coverage to signoff, and mentoring engineering staff.

Experience Level

Mid-level β€” typically 4+ years of ASIC/SoC verification experience.

Responsibilities

Lead and execute verification activities across block, subsystem, and SoC levels.

  • Define and execute verification plans; create test cases, run regressions, and close coverage.
  • Develop and enhance UVM/SystemVerilog verification environments and testbenches.
  • Debug RTL issues, analyze failures, and coordinate fixes with design teams.
  • Collaborate with hardware and post-silicon teams to ensure first-pass silicon success.
  • Mentor engineers and promote verification best practices and automation, including AI-driven tools.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience:

  • Strong experience with SystemVerilog and UVM; familiarity with VCS, Verdi, or similar tools.
  • Proven ability to develop verification environments from the ground up for complex SoCs with multi-clock and reset domains.
  • Experience with version control (Git or SVN) and scripting (Python, Tcl, Perl, or Shell).
  • Experience verifying high-speed networking technologies (e.g., 50G/100G/400G Ethernet MAC/PCS, TCP/IP, UDP, RDMA/RoCE, IPsec).
  • Proven track record leading verification projects through planning, coverage closure, and signoff.
  • Strong debugging skills and effective cross-functional communication.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with AI-driven verification productivity tools.
  • Experience mentoring or leading small engineering teams.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field required; Master's degree preferred.
