Job Title

ASIC Design Verification Engineer

Role Summary

Member of Micron's ASIC Design Verification team responsible for developing verification environments and infrastructure for IP and SoC projects. The role focuses on simulation environment development, executing verification plans, debugging complex functional and integration issues, and collaborating with design teams to ensure timely delivery and quality.

Opportunities include improving verification productivity through automation and adopting AI-assisted verification techniques.

Experience Level

Entry-level (2+ years of relevant verification experience)

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include development, execution, and improvement of verification environments and flows:

  • Develop and maintain UVM-based SystemVerilog verification environments.
  • Build and enhance Python-based testbenches and simulation infrastructure.
  • Execute block- and system-level verification plans and drive coverage closure.
  • Debug complex functional and integration issues in collaboration with design teams.
  • Monitor and improve verification quality metrics.
  • Explore and adopt AI-assisted tools and techniques to improve verification productivity and debugging efficiency.
  • Communicate findings and status clearly to engineering teams and stakeholders.

Requirements

Key qualifications and skills. "Must-have" items are essential; "Nice-to-have" items are preferred.

Must-have:

  • 2+ years of IP or SoC verification experience.
  • Hands-on experience with UVM and constrained-random verification methodologies.
  • Strong proficiency in SystemVerilog and Python.
  • Proven analytical, debugging, and written/verbal communication skills.
  • Self-starter who works effectively in engineering teams.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with mixed-signal verification.
  • Experience with DRAM protocols (DDR / LPDDR / GDDR).
  • Experience working in fast-paced, highly collaborative engineering environments.
  • Interest or experience in applying AI/ML techniques to verification and automation.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
