ASIC Design Engineer (RDSS Intern)
Role Summary
Join the Multimedia IP team in Hsinchu to develop front-end IP for NVIDIA GPU and SoC multimedia blocks. This intern role contributes to IP front-end design, integration with verification, and build optimization within the 2027 RDSS program.
Work focuses on implementing and validating digital builds and completing assigned deliverables in a fast-paced engineering environment.
Experience Level
Entry-level internship. Intended for Master's students or equivalent early-career candidates; typical experience 0β3 years.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include front-end design, collaboration with verification, and build optimization.
- Implement IP-level front-end designs for multimedia blocks.
- Collaborate with design verification engineers to ensure functional builds.
- Analyze trade-offs and optimize builds for features, requirements, and system constraints.
- Complete task lists, checklists, and deliverables on schedule.
Requirements
Core technical skills and professional behaviors required. Candidates must be able to work independently and communicate effectively.
- Project experience in IC build implementation and digital design projects.
- Proficiency with Verilog and SystemVerilog.
- Experience with AI-enabled automation workflows and AI agents; ability to validate AI-generated output and protect sensitive information.
- Ability to analyze trade-offs and optimize implementations for constraints.
- Strong written and verbal communication; proactive, collaborative work style.
- Ability to meet deliverables in a fast-paced environment.
Nice to have:
- Experience writing C++ or SystemC models.
- Scripting experience: Python, Perl, Tcl, Make, or shell.
Education Requirements
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical work experience. Coursework in digital build/digital design is expected.
