Role Summary
Entry-level logic design engineer on the CPU Logic Design Team working on CPU on-chip interconnects, cache coherency, and last-level caches. The role covers micro-architectural definition, RTL development, logic debug, synthesis, and timing closure.

Entry-level; recent/new college graduate.
Responsibilities
Deliver a defined logic unit and ensure its correctness and performance through design, verification, and implementation phases.
- Own and deliver a specific unit on the chip within schedule.
- Write high-performance, low-power RTL code.
- Perform synthesis and timing closure activities.
- Document design specifications and implementation decisions.
- Collaborate with verification to ensure correctness and with implementation teams to meet timing, area, performance, and power goals.
- Assist in timing closure of larger assemblies / super units.
Requirements
Key technical skills and experience required for the role.
- Experience in processor or high-performance semiconductor designs.
- Proficiency in Verilog and standard ASIC design flow: RTL design, verification, logic synthesis, prototyping, DFT, timing analysis, floor-planning, ECO, and lab debug.
- Strong background in computer architecture, cache coherency, or high-speed interconnects.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams (verification, implementation) to meet timing, area, power, and performance targets.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Nice-to-have: experience mentoring junior engineers or interns.
Education Requirements
Recent graduate with a BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
