Job Title

Arch Intern, CPU - 2026

Role Summary

Join the embedded RISC-V CPU architecture and modeling team to research and propose solutions for next‑generation CPU cores used in NVIDIA GPUs, SoCs, and networking products.

Work with senior architects to analyze requirements, develop performance models and tests, and validate proposed microarchitectural solutions.

Experience Level

Entry-level internship; intended for students (undergraduate, master’s, or PhD) and early-career candidates.

Responsibilities

The intern will learn the current design and contribute to architecture research, modeling, and validation:

  • Study and learn the existing RISC-V CPU architecture and implementation.
  • Collaborate with senior architects to define requirements and research candidate solutions.
  • Produce solution proposals that meet design constraints and requirements.
  • Develop performance models and tests to evaluate proposals.
  • Analyze validation results and refine proposals based on feedback.

Requirements

Key skills and experience expected:

  • Must-have: Proficient C++ programming and debugging skills; self-starter with good communication.
  • Nice-to-have: Knowledge of SystemC; Python scripting experience.
  • Strong plus: Experience in performance modeling or micro-architecture side-channel analysis.

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science (CS) or Electrical Engineering (EE) are welcome (as specified in the posting).
