Applications Support Engineer
Role Summary
Work on the Solido Custom IC Support team to help customers integrate and use Siemens EDA tools (Solido Simulation Suite, Solido Design Environment, Symphony) in circuit design and verification flows. This is a customer-facing technical role focused on troubleshooting, tool integration, training, and enabling customers to use the software productively.

Responsibilities
The core responsibilities include:
- Assist customers in integrating Siemens EDA Custom IC verification tools into their circuit design and verification flows.
- Diagnose, reproduce, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues on customer designs; escalate and collaborate with Siemens EDA R&D as needed.
- Deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, and benchmark evaluations to support product adoption.
- Develop training materials, technical content, and self-help knowledge base articles.
- Provide hands-on customer support, including on-site or remote troubleshooting and training; some travel is required.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience:
- Strong knowledge of semiconductor device physics, analog/mixed-signal circuits, SPICE models, and circuit simulation.
- Experience with full custom IC design and verification and transistor-level circuit design or verification workflows.
- Hands-on experience with SPICE circuit simulators; familiarity with Solido tools or similar tools is a plus.
- Comfortable working in Linux and scripting with Python, TCL, or bash.
- Good problem-solving skills and clear written and verbal communication for customer-facing interactions.
- Ability to travel as required to support customers.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field (e.g., Electronics Engineering, Microelectronics), or equivalent practical experience.
