Role Summary

Senior applications engineer on the Customer Application Services team, responsible for developing, qualifying, and maintaining ICV fill runsets for advanced process nodes.

The role partners with foundries, R&D, and customers to deliver production-ready runsets, resolve technical escalations under tapeout pressure, and feed field feedback into product roadmaps.

Responsibilities

Deliver and support fill runsets and related verification flows; collaborate with foundries, customers, and internal teams to ensure successful production use.

• Develop, qualify, and release advanced fill runsets that meet foundry specifications and customer production requirements.
• Collaborate with R&D to define product requirements and drive features that address foundry and customer needs.
• Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues in fill flows, DRC runsets, and physical design environments, often under tight tapeout timelines.
• Manage runset release lifecycle: development, testing, deployment, maintenance, and customer adoption.
• Conduct root-cause analysis on escalations and coordinate fixes between customers, foundries, and product teams.
• Coordinate across sales, product management, and engineering to align on priorities and deployment strategies.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and communication abilities to operate effectively with foundries and customers.

• Must-have: Solid understanding of ASIC design flow, VLSI fundamentals, and CAD/physical verification principles.
• Must-have: Working knowledge of Design Rule Checking, fill insertion, or physical verification flows and hands-on experience with at least one EDA tool suite.
• Must-have: Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills; ability to work under tight tapeout schedules.
• Must-have: Effective verbal and written communication; fluency in English and Mandarin is required.
• Must-have: Ability to manage technical projects end-to-end and coordinate multiple stakeholders.
• Nice-to-have: Prior experience working directly with foundries or supporting customer escalations in production flows.
• Nice-to-have: Familiarity with competitive EDA verification, place-and-route, or physical design tools.
