Role Summary

Provide front-end technical support for synthesis and equivalence checking to customers and field teams, focusing on tape-out projects. Work with development and product support to diagnose issues, deliver solutions, and improve product use and reliability.

Customer-facing role that requires deep technical expertise in EDA tools and ASIC design flow to accelerate customer tape-out success.

Experience Level

Senior - typically 6–8 years of hands-on experience in synthesis or formal verification on tape-out projects.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include customer support, debugging, and knowledge transfer.

• Provide front-end (synthesis, equivalence check) technical support to field engineers, technicians, and product support personnel.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and debug complex hardware, software, and system-level issues.
• Collaborate with customers to capture technical requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
• Conduct training sessions and workshops for customers and internal teams.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and support materials.
• Work closely with development teams to identify, reproduce, and resolve product issues.
• Drive continuous improvement in support processes and best practices to reduce customer downtime.

Requirements

• Must-have: 6–8 years of hands-on experience with tape-out project execution, including synthesis or formal verification for tape-out flows.
• Must-have: Practical experience with EDA tools such as Design Compiler (DC), Formality, Fusion Compiler, and related RTL/verification tools.
• Must-have: Strong understanding of ASIC design flow, VLSI concepts, and CAD development.
• Must-have: Experience troubleshooting and debugging complex systems and software.
• Must-have: Proficiency with scripting or programming languages such as C/C++, Perl, and Tcl.
• Must-have: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; ability to work directly with global customers in English.
• Nice-to-have: Experience delivering formal trainings or workshops and prior customer-facing applications engineering experience.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
