Applications Engineering, Sr Supervisor (Verification Tools)

Role Summary

Lead a team of application engineers to provide advanced technical support, drive adoption, and manage escalations for Synopsys verification tools (VCS, Verdi, Spyglass, Certitude, Z01X). The role coordinates with R&D and customers to deliver verification environment bring-up, tool migrations, and Verification IP integration.

Experience Level

Senior. Requires at least 3+ years in design & verification or application engineering, with demonstrated supervisory or technical lead experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

• Provide advanced technical support for the verification tool suite and resolve complex customer issues.
• Lead tool migrations and bring up verification environments and verification IPs.
• Manage, mentor, and develop application engineering team members; ensure service quality and timely deliverables.
• Coordinate with global application engineers and R&D to address escalations and influence product improvements.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and lead knowledge-transfer activities.
• Run technical campaigns, build customer trust, and contribute to strategies that expand market share.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience:

• 3+ years in design & verification or application engineering within the verification domain.
• Strong knowledge of Verilog, SystemVerilog and UVM; VHDL experience is desirable.
• Experience with verification methodologies, static and/or dynamic verification, and Verification IPs.
• Proven experience leading or managing technical teams and customer-facing support activities.
• Excellent English communication skills and ability to work across regions.

Nice-to-have:

• Familiarity with UPF and AMBA Verification IPs.
• Interest or experience adopting AI-assisted tools and new tooling features.
