Role Summary

Customer-facing physical verification specialist focused on supporting customers using IC Validator and related EDA tools. The role diagnoses verification issues, builds reusable runsets and flows, and works with sales, product engineering, and R&D to drive tool adoption and customer success.

Responsibilities

Primary duties include customer support, runset development, and cross-team collaboration to enable successful signoff flows.

• Work directly with customers to understand physical verification challenges and deliver timely solutions.
• Support sales and adoption of IC Validator through demos, evaluations, and competitive benchmarks.
• Create and maintain flows and runsets using TCL, Python, PXL and DRC/LVS/FILL/PERC methodologies.
• Conduct training sessions, resolve technical issues, and provide technical account management.
• Collaborate with R&D, Product Engineering, and Sales to improve tools and workflows based on customer feedback.
• Document solutions and reusable assets to reduce escalations and accelerate customer onboarding.
• Travel as required to support customers, trainings, and conferences.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience for successful performance in this role.

• 7+ years hands-on industry experience in physical verification flows (DRC/LVS/FILL/PERC) and runset development.
• Proficient scripting/programming skills (Python, TCL, Perl or similar) for automation and flow development.
• Experience with EDA verification tools such as IC Validator, Calibre, or Pegasus.
• Familiarity with backend physical design flows (Fusion Compiler/Innovus), custom layout tools (Custom Compiler/Virtuoso), and PEX flows.
• Strong debug, problem-solving, and technical documentation skills.
• Excellent communication, presentation, organizational, and interpersonal skills for customer interactions.

Education Requirements

BS or MS in Electronic Engineering or Computer Science with knowledge of VLSI and device components, or a closely related technical degree (as stated in the posting).
