Role Summary

Lead application engineering efforts for AI-driven RTL-to-GDSII design methodologies at Synopsys Noida. Work directly with customers to develop, deploy, and optimize EDA tool-based flows, provide field feedback to R&D, and mentor junior engineers.

Senior — approximately 9+ years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include customer enablement, flow development, and technical leadership.

• Partner with customers to design and implement AI-driven RTL-to-GDSII methodologies using Synopsys EDA tools and IP.
• Create and optimize design flows to meet PPA targets for high-frequency cores, automotive, and AI/compute designs.
• Enable and deploy flows using tools such as Fusion Compiler and RTL Architect; integrate AI-based design optimization engines.
• Automate EDA workflows using Tcl and Python scripting.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with customers, R&D, and product teams to drive feature and solution development.
• Lead, coach, and mentor junior application engineers; provide technical guidance and project coordination.
• Deliver technical presentations, application notes, and best-practice guidance to internal and external audiences.
• Support escalations, troubleshooting, and on-site or virtual customer engagements as required.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience.

• Proven, hands-on experience with backend place-and-route and RTL-to-GDSII flows using tools such as Fusion Compiler, ICC2, or equivalent.
• Expertise in physical synthesis, timing closure, clock tree synthesis (CTS), and routing at advanced nodes (2nm/3nm/5nm etc.).
• Proficiency in Tcl and Python for automation of EDA workflows.
• Experience deploying AI-based design space optimization techniques within EDA flows.
• Strong technical account management skills and experience in customer-facing roles.
• Proven leadership or mentoring experience and ability to coordinate cross-functional initiatives.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced engineering environment.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field. The posting specifies approximately 9+ years of relevant experience.
