Applications Engineer - Senior, Timing/ECO Sign‑off
Role Summary
Customer-facing applications engineer responsible for driving adoption and successful deployment of Synopsys PrimeTime and ECO flows. The role provides pre‑sale and post‑sale technical support, training, and tapeout assistance while collaborating with R&D, sales, and marketing to influence product direction.
Position can be based at the company offices in Haifa or Ra'anana, Israel.

Responsibilities
Core responsibilities include customer engagement, technical enablement, and product feedback.
- Drive adoption and usage of PrimeTime and ECO in pre‑ and post‑sale engagements.
- Perform competitive benchmarks and product evaluations to demonstrate technical advantages.
- Provide expert training, onboarding, and hands‑on support to enable successful tapeouts.
- Collaborate with R&D, marketing, and sales to define requirements and influence product improvements.
- Gather customer feedback and advocate for customer needs internally.
- Explain complex technical solutions to engineers and senior stakeholders.
- Troubleshoot issues related to timing closure, signal integrity, and process variation.
Requirements
Key skills and experience required or strongly preferred.
- Deep domain knowledge in Static Timing Analysis (STA) and timing closure methodologies.
- Hands‑on experience with multiple chip tapeouts at 16nm or below process nodes.
- Proficiency with timing closure practices, ECO flows, and advanced design methodologies.
- Practical expertise with Synopsys PrimeTime; familiarity with timing corners, process variation, and signal integrity.
- Strong scripting ability (Tcl, Perl, or Python) and experience automating STA flows is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and customer‑facing skills.
- Analytical, detail‑oriented problem solver who can work independently and cross‑functionally.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or equivalent plus 8+ years of experience, or Master's degree (MSEE) with 5+ years of experience. Equivalent practical experience is accepted where specified by the employer.
